Previously Radio Ecoshock was previously available as two 29 minute segments. However, this did not work for RSS automation. The show will now be available as one 58 minute segment, leaving 2 minutes at the top or bottom of the hour for station ID and announcements.

Please let me know if this causes any problems, or if you like it better.

This week listeners get a quick update on the most dangerous moment for humanity since the Cuban Missile Crisis. That is developing in Reactor 4 at Fukushima Japan.

Then some dirty business. What happens if all of you, and millions more people, realize we have to grow food in the cities? City soil is already poisoned by toxic chemicals. Will we strip off surrounding farms to sell bags of dirt at Home Depot and Walmart?

Our main speaker this week is Nance Klehm from the Bioneers 2013 Chicago Great Lakes Conference. Nance takes soil activism to a whole new level, diving into dumpsters for bags of goo that can become fertile soil. Why is that illegal?

Along the way, I take time for two great new green songs.
