NEW PODCAST!!!- feed://  (128kb Highest Quality)

Today’s broadcast is, like last week’s, being produced in my hospital room in between two surgeries. I hope to continue to get a new show out each week while trying to rectify some medical problems. Things are going well and I truly appreciate all the positive messages and prayers. I will inform the stations a few days in advance if a show will be missed. You are welcome to cheer me on through the website or via my mailing address (PO Box 1162, Willits, CA 95490)

This week's show features stories from NHK World Radio Japan, Radio Deutsche-Welle, and Spanish National Radio.
From JAPAN- Japan says that it has achieved its reduction target for greenhouse gas emissions as promised in the Kyoto Protocols in 1997. Nuclear fuel rods are being removed from the damaged nuclear power plant at Fukushima- first a description of the process, then an Insight on the needs and risks of this operation. Evacuees from a town near the Fukushima plant have mixed feelings about the fuel rod removal. Voting is underway in Nepal to elect a special assembly to draft a new constitution. Australian spy agencies tried to intercept the phone calls of the Indonesian president.
From GERMANY- French President Hollande has told the Israeli Parliament that Jewish settlement activity must stop in the occupied West Bank. President Hollande is not very popular in France these days, being booed down at big political anniversaries like Bastille Day and Armistice Day- leading to preemptive arrests of potential booers. In Russia authorities transferred the crew of the Greenpeace vessel, two months after their arrests- what does this mean? Chancellor Merkel has described relations with the US as "strained" and the proposed Free Trade Agreement is on hold.
From SPAIN- Two press reviews, one on the younger members of Prime Minister Rajoy's younger supporters, and one on the state of the independence movement in Catalonia. Leftist candidate Michelle Bachelete was the clear winner in Chile's Presidential election, a return of Chile's first female president.

There is an article about the Shortwave Report by Cassandra Roos on line -
I was interviewed for an informative weekly radio show Mediageek, available at

All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
NEW TIME SLOT on KZYX! This program will be aired on Sunday afternoon at 4pm (PST) on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via < >

I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt! (maybe a little)
