On The Commons is a weekly radio show dedicated to discussing the many issues surrounding mandatory homeowner associations, the fastest growing form of residential housing in the nation.

During the past couple of decades, almost every state has adopted laws regulating mandatory homeowners' associations and almost every year, legislators across the country add to these laws. On occasion a legislator will propose a bill as a way of dealing with a particular headline grabbing issue, once in a while homeowners themselves will seek legislative fixes but more often than not, it is the homeowner association industry that lobbies for the annual changes in state laws. And when those proposals and bills become law, who benefits the most from them?
