Mildred Williamson, PhD, MSW, became the HIV/AIDS Section Chief for the Illinois Department of Public Health in 2008. In 1998 she helped to launch âProject Brotherhood: A Black Menâs Clinic,â while serving as administrator for Woodlawn Health Center in Chicago. She began her career in public health care delivery in 1989 as the first administrator of the Women & Chil dren HIV Program at Cook County Hospital, which is now one of the Ruth M. Rothstein CORE Center programs. Mildred completed requirements for her Masterâs de gree in Social Work in 1989 and her doctorate in Social Work in 2000 at the School of Social Service Administration/University of Chicago.
