New Yorker David Lamb joins us in the studio to talk about his book-turned-play "Do Platanos Go Wit' Collard Greens?" Lamb's play asks if love between a Black man and a Latina woman can survive. This tale of romance between college students fuses the poetry of hip-hop with the intellect of W.E.B. Dubois to drop science about history and race. Following Saki's interview with David and an excerpt from the play, we take calls from WBAI listeners.
