This 32kbps 20-minute 4.7MB demo is uploaded for your evaluation purposes only. The full Sonic Attack Overnight Show is a 3-hour, 160kbps, stereo mp3 file (approx. 200MB size), recorded pseudo-weekly, featuring all independent and NON-commercial electronic music. It is broadcast weekly on campus radio station CFMU 93.3FM in Hamilton, Ontario; Radio Helsinki 92,6FM in Graz, Austria; and Columbia Free Radio in South Carolina. Reviews from these stations have been positive so far.
This show features musics such as IDM, elektro, and 8-bitronica (*not* dance or party music, but the more artistic and avant-garde side of things) and is hosted by DJ Happy Robot (a voice simulator program). It strives to feature uncommercial artists from as far underground as possible - the founding principle of the show is to provide an opportunity for challenging music to make it to the ears of the people, even though many of these artists don't have the vast resources required to participate in the capitalist/cartelist system that rules campus radio and the music press. Your station probably never plays many of the artists that this show features, because some of them have never even put out a "real" CD.
If you are a programming director at a campus or community radio station and would like to receive copies of this show for broadcast use, I'd be happy to send your station (for free) a 4.6GB data DVD-R containing 20 of the most recent shows, as long as you'll be broadcasting them. I *can* send CDRs instead, with each containing 3 shows, but the postage gets costly to me.
